How can I clean all of the dead algae from the pool?

When I clean the pool with the vacuum it all comes back in. The algae is dead we killed it. My pool is over ground. It is 12×36. When we clean it the filter is clean and so is the rag from the vacuum. We don’t know where it is going. We use an Algae cleaner with clarification. How can we get the algae out without taking the water out?

most above ground pools have sand filters…if this is the case…turn off equip and rotate your multiport to waste. and vaccuum out the waste line. this option is if you need to drain rainwater or excees water off the top of your pool….just vaccuum to waste. if you have a cartridge you should a drain line valve b4 it goes into your filter. if no valve, just take the lid off your filterr as if you were going to clean or spray it out, then remove filter and vaccuum as the water just overflows over the filter.
